Neon & Prints

Happy Tuesday loves!  I can't even believe that it's the last day of April of already.  This year has been flying by so fast for me.  I'm really looking forward to next month and all that it will bring!

Skirt: H&M (shop similar)/ Top: Garage/ Jacket: C/O Furor Moda/ Shoes & Clutch: Mandee/ Sunnies: H&M

I've really been trying to rework some of my older pieces in new ways.  I wore this neon aztec skirt once last summer with a white tank, jean vest and wedges so I wanted to go for a completely different look this time.  Both neon and aztec print pieces are everywhere and perfect for spring/summer.
There's already so much going on with the skirt in terms of print and color, so I just wanted to keep the rest fairly neutral and complete the look with black and white.  I wasn't lying when I said that I would be wearing this white moto jacket a lot!  Hope you don't mind because it's quickly become one of my staples for this season.  I want to get this style jacket in other colors too.

I leave in a few days for Chicago and I am so unprepared!  For the first time ever, I am trying to pack super light so I can just fit everything into a carry on size suitcase and not have to check my bag.  I will only be gone for 2 nights so let's hope I can accomplish this!  Enjoy the rest of the day loves!

Summer Road Trip

I am so excited about today's post and had so much fun shooting it!  I know it's not summer yet, but it is always good to plan ahead.  Whether you're going to the beach, spending a weekend at the Hamptons, driving to a different state, or just going for a mini getaway, you're bound to go on a road trip at some point during the summer months with friends or family.  I have collaborated with Charlotte Russe to break down my favorite essentials for a summer road trip focusing on the two keywords:
STYLE & COMFORT.

Outfit Details:

Romper (shop similar), Sandals (here), Hat (shop similar)
Messenger Bag (shop here), Sunnies  (here)
All C/O Charlotte Russe
Belt: Vintage (Mom's Closet)/ Black Tote: C/O Cotton

I've gone on so many road trips with friends and one of our concerns was always what to wear.  We wanted to look cute and stylish when we arrived at our destination but we also wanted to be comfortable since we would be sitting in a car for several hours.  I've definitely learned what works best! I hope that this post will give you a little inspiration on what to wear for your next road trip.

Rompers:  One of the easiest, most comfortable and stylish things to wear during the summer, especially when traveling in a car.  I loved this geometric printed one.  It's so colorful and definitely a stand out piece.  I added the belt to define my waistline a bit more.  I would also suggest traveling in a maxi dress/skirt and a loose fitted tunic.  Think of easy pieces that aren't too tight.

Flats:  I love my heels, believe me I do.  But when traveling it's best to bring them with you in a bag.  You always want to be prepared and you never know if for some reason you will be required to get out of the car and walk for awhile. If you're not into sandals, go with a cute pair of sneakers or anything without a heel. I love these white studded sandals!

Sunnies:  I never leave home without them! Stylish sunnies are a MUST especially during the summer and especially when traveling in a car.  I am obsessed with aviators.  Loving these metallic and mint ones.

Hat: It's the perfect summer hair accessory and so necessary for a road trip!  Whether it's a floppy hat like this one or a straw fedora, you won't have to worry about having a bad hair day.  Plus, you can roll down the windows and not have to worry about the summer breeze flying your hair all over your face.  They're also perfect if you're headed to the beach!

Messenger Bag: They're the perfect size for a little road trip and right on trend.  It's great for your wallet, phone, makeup and any other small personal belongings. Obsessed with this mint one! A great way to spice up your look is by going with a colored bag.

Tote:  This is perfect to throw in your overnight clothes, heels, beachwear, and any other necessities you need during your trip if you're going away for a day or two.  It won't take up much room in the trunk either!

Camera:  Always bring a camera!  Whether you decide to do a little sight seeing on the way or you just want to capture all of the memories during your trip, a camera is always essential, at least for me!

Coral Crush

Happy Friday loves! This is going to be a short post. I just wanted to get another one in before the weekend.  I leave for Chicago next week for a few days so I am just trying to post as much as I can before I go!

Dress (similar print) & Blazer (shop similar): Forever21/ Sandals: C/O Bakers/ Sunnies: H&M/ Earrings: C/O Mandee

I wore this dress once in a previous post last year and wanted to wear it in a completely different way this time.  Many girls don't like wearing the same dress more than once, but there's definitely ways that you can revamp it to make it look completely different.  You can do this by pairing it with a blazer, wearing different colored shoes, switching up your accessories, or even turning your dress into a skirt by wearing a top over it.  There's many possibilities.  I just decided to wear mine with my favorite coral blazer and white sandals for a fun and chic look.
I am actually going to be selling this dress so look out for it in my PoshMark Closet soon in case you're interested!

Have a fabulous weekend!

Pink Lemonade

Whenever it's warm in Jersey, I take total advantage.  Can you tell I am anticipating summer?!  I can't believe it's almost May!  I wanted to wear something really colorful and vibrant, so I think this did the trick.

Skirt: C/O Furor Moda/ Tank: Target: Shoes: Forever21/ Bag: C/O olivia + joy
 Necklace: C/O Happy Wrist/ Sunnies: H&M

I fell in love with this colorful high waisted skirt from Furor Moda.  I knew immediately that I needed to add it to my Spring/Summer wardrobe.  It's fun, flirty and super cute.  I think I styled this in 3 or 4 different ways until I was happy with the outcome.  Since there's a great mix of colors in the print, there's so many things that you could pair with it depending on the colors you want to play with.  Since I decided on the pink and yellow, I went with a simple white tank and just accessorized with this beautiful teardrop rhinestone necklace from Happy Wrist.

I wanted to bring out the hot pink that is lined around the waist, so I went with these ankle strap wedges. And to bring out the yellow in the print, I paired my beautiful new Swanky-Lemon handbag
from oliva + joy with this outfit.  I've always loved the pink & yellow combo, so I decided to do a little color blocking with my shoes and bag. It reminds me of pink lemonade!  Coincidentally, my nails actually matched the skirt too.  I'm wearing Mint Apple from Sinful Colors.  Sometimes I stay clear of mixing too much because I don't want my outfit to seem "too busy", but I think the key is making sure to incorporate at least one neutral item to keep it toned down.

Have a great day!

Radiant With Aveeno

I mentioned that I was going to be adding a new addition to my weekly posts, so today it's a review on:
AVEENO's Positively Radiant Intensive Night Cream.
I received this product from Influenster and it also came with an eye mask that I used with the product.

As I have gotten older, I've really learned to take better of my skin.  So many decisions that we make when we are younger truly do affect us later on.  I really regret not wearing SPF all of the time especially with all of the tanning that I used to do.  It's given me somewhat of an uneven skin tone that I have been trying to fix.  A few other problem areas that I have faced with my skin are blotchiness from time to time and a few dark spots.  I've tried many things like the typical cleansers, toners and moisturizers as well as exfoliators, serums and even eye cream.  Nothing really made that much of a difference for me, until now.

WHAT IT IS

Aveeno Positively Radiant Intensive Night Cream is an oil free, hydrating formula that penetrates deep within the skin's surface while you sleep to reveal an even, more radiant complex.

WHAT IT CONTAINS

Active Naturals: Total Soy Complex boosted with tone-evening vitamin B3 to help keep you looking luminous and fresh.

WHAT IT DOES

It gives your skin an extra boost on all 5 FACTORS OF RADIANCE:

MY REVIEW

I've been using this product for 7 days now.  All you have to do is smooth the cream all over your (clean) face and neck before bed.  The first few times I used it, I felt a little burning sensation.  After reading a couple of other reviews, I found that this was a common occurrence with many people so I didn't think much of it.  One of the things I love about the cream itself is that it's not too heavy on my skin and it absorbs pretty quickly.  I also love it's light scent. Every morning after waking up I noticed that my face looked a little brighter and not as dull as it used to.  My skin was also silky smooth and really felt moisturized.

In just a week's time I have noticed improvements with my skin tone and it appears to look more even than before.  I think that the more I continue to use this, the more of a difference I will see.  I also noticed that I don't have any more blotchiness and the dark spots are fading.  My skin feels and looks better. I really think that this is a great product to incorporate into your every day skin care routines.  It's actually my first time using a night cream and I really don't have any complaints! My skin type is normal to dry and this has definitely helped with the dryness. I've used other Aveeno products before and have always been a fan.  I truly recommend this cream. You can buy this product for $16.99.

MY SKINCARE TIPS

Use SPF every day
Drink lots of water daily
Always take your makeup off before bed
Cleanse & Moisturize your face each day

If any of you have used this product or decide to use it, I would love to hear your feedback on how it has worked for you! If I have time later today or tomorrow I will make a video review for this product on my youtube!

*I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes and this post reflects my honest opinions*

A Pop Of Red

This is the 5th and last piece that I styled as part of my collaboration with Mandee for their Spring LookBook.  I know that some of you don't have a Mandee store near you, but here in the NJ/NY area, they're super popular.  It's a great feeling being able to work with a store that I have shopped at for many years!

Dress: C/O Mandee/ Shoes: Steve Madden (also love)/ Bag: Aldo/ Necklace: Forever21
Bracelet: C/O TheWayWeAreLipstick: MAC Ruby Woo

There's a few different ways to style the black & white trend.  You've seen me stick just to those two colors before, but you could also add in a pop too.  Since black and white are neutrals, you could pretty much mix it with any color you like.  I love doing pops of red because it's so bold.  If I had gone with black shoes and a nude lip, it would give this look a whole other feel.
This color block peplum dress is really cute, classy, and great for many occasions: going out with friends, a date, a party, etc.  It's only $19.99!  And yes, peplum is still here to stay.  I know some might be tired of seeing it every where, but I still have a soft spot for all things peplum.  The finishing touches were my accessories of course, one of my favorite statement necklaces and a few other pieces of jewelry.

Dresses are the easiest thing to style that's why it's fun to get creative by throwing in other colors and adding in some fab accessories. Since there's so many different ways to work a black and white dress, I wanted to show you another fun option by incorporating a few pops of neon.

You could also keep everything black and just go with a colored bag only or if you're a little more daring you could add in 2 other pops of color instead of one.  It's all about your style and what works best for you, just experiment and have fun with it :)

Simple But Bold

Happy Monday beauties!  I hope that all of you had a fab weekend.  It was so nice out yesterday so I couldn't resist taking pics in my new favorite spot again.  The title of today's post pretty much sums up my style.  For the most part there's a lot of simplicity, but it's still bold and makes a statement.

Blazer: Zara (love this one)/ Shirt & Jeans: H&M/ Shoes: Chinese Laundry C/O Bakers
Clutch: ASOS (shop here)/ Bracelet: H&M/ Necklace: Thrifted

It's the yellow blazer... again!  You all know by now I am obsessed with it and have worn it many times in different ways.  It's probably the best $80 I ever spent and exactly why I only spend more on staple pieces.  I wanted to do a little color blocking and I really love this mix together! I consider these my lucky jeans since they are the ones that I was wearing in the photo that won the Cotton & People Style Watch contest.  I am really loving the teal shade.  Typically I would have gone with a nude shoe, but I wanted to funk it up a bit with these printed heels I wore a few posts ago.  It's got a mix of different colors including teal and yellow.  To keep the outfit somewhat toned down I went with a loose fitted white top and white clutch.  I tried to have a little fun with my accessories by adding the yellow bracelet and teal ring.

If you've never tried color blocking before, it's always good to start off with a neutral shade and brighter hue paired together.  What are some of your favorite colors to mix & match?

*Don't forget to enter my GIVEAWAY!  You still have today and tomorrow!*

Happy Earth Day!
